HOMETRUTHS is an independent, community based, charitable organisation.  We provide specialist services to anyone from the age of 16 who is, or has experienced domestic violence and abuse from partners, ex-partners or family members, living in Swindon and North Wiltshire,  including stalking & harassment.  We only ever work with survivors of domestic abuse, we do not work with perpetrators.

We are now closed for the Christmas break and will re-open on 2nd January 2018.  If you experience domestic abuse during the Christmas holiday and you feel unsafe please call the Police on 999.  If you need any urgent support or advice the National Domestic Violence Helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 0808 2000 247 and is free to call.  Swindon Domestic Abuse Helpline is also open 24 hours a day 01793 610610.  The National Centre for Domestic Violence may be able to help with emergency injunctions and can be contacted on 0800 970 2070.

HOMETRUTHS also provides training, consultatancy and hosts conferences for professionals and practitioners across the South West.  

In Swindon & Wiltshire, 5,139 incidents of domestic abuse were reported to the Police in the 12 months between April 2012 and March 2013.

On average 2,500 incidents of domestic abuse are reported in Swindon alone each year.  It is nationally recognised only 20% of incidents are reported so over 11,000 further incidents go unreported every year.
